Commercial archaeology is always fun. Because each time you go into the field exploring new areas, you never really know what will appear. This time nothing, but next time something interesting

The smallest things are sometimes the most incredible things to find when excavating. Here a small microlith of the Maglemosian culture some 9000 years ago. Archaeology is fun #denmark #archaelogy #mesolithic 🏺

Little tips of beauty! A small transverse from a middle/late ertebølle site with plenty of evidence of continued transverse production at a summer camp at the edge of water with plenty of uprooted ancient trees. More to follow #archaelogy #mesolithic #denmark #ertebølle🏺

During the weekend I experienced a great heated debate with friends, about what archaeology is;
It resulted in me pointing out that archaeology is basic. It is the study of material culture of the past combined with the rest of academia. Archaeology in itself does not say much. What do you think?
