Helping people new to hobbies when they come into the game store genuinely gives me life, however running a game store is the most painful and stressful thing I've ever done.

Got to watch some kids who are new to magic come in and get some innistrad from the store and pull a craterhoof. Was rad getting to give them promos and stuff since they were new and then also watch them hit a hoof. Passing on hobby info and interest to others is the greatest feeling in the world.

I also don't get why most LGS don't change the default text on the wizards locator, genuinely boggles my mind that stores can be so successful but are so lazy in all their community outreach because they don't have anywhere better to go essentially.

The most successful LGS we have near feel really soulless. Like I'm expected to walk in pay and then leave, the biggest one doesn't even let you see cards before buying them and require you do all transactions for their singles via their website even when in the store.
