Well, they look and smell pretty good so far!

We hit the $1,000 mark today — out of a $1,600 goal.

From today’s update, have two bonus just for fun pictures of Eli’s dog Ianto, who adores toothbrush treats.

No cavities for anyone in this household!

I have four more colored stripes to go on this quilt, and then it’s “just” the sashing, trimming, and binding.

Pictured here are the first five stripes of twelve.

Working on a quilt again after a LONG hiatus and wow, it feels great to be back at the machine!

This morning’s small joy is a bobbin of nearly completed spinning.

BFL/silk, a neon rainbow that runs from blue to purple.

What’s your moment or item or image of joy today?

Hugely grateful that — after lying down in the dark for several hours — today’s migraine eased up enough for me to sit up and spin for a little while this afternoon.

The horrors persist, so it’s time to spin the good stuff.

Timeline cleanse. Quote reskeet a pet, plant, calm landscape, anything photo you took or art you did that makes you happy.

Ponky watching out for a chattering bird. (And ignoring the Human’s Hand Device being close to her face.)

Ponky says: “Drink your water, take your meds, and pick your battles strategically!”

(Actually what she said was more like: “How dare you sit down on MY VERY OWN sofa, human!” but that’s what artistic license is for.)

Me facing 2025
(Depending on my energy level at any given time, it’s one of these two)

Without downloading any new pics, what’s your energy going into 2025?

I’m doing bespoke hand knit socks for this — like I did for romancing the vote!

Such a good piece.

Read it.
Make time to sit with it.
And then keep planning.

A local mechanically inclined friend came over today.

He and my housemate IMMEDIATELY got distracted by my new Singer Featherweight and insisted on being allowed to re-wire the foot pedal and test it before doing ANYTHING else.

Thank you for your advice, @czedwards.bsky.social !!

What really got me tearing up reading this was how COMPASSIONATE it is towards her bravely shared vulnerability.

All too often we implicitly or explicitly mock or doubt the disabled.

This article instead reports and recounts with care and grace, and leaves us with this as its final message:

I have now seen the northern lights. Wow.

Pleased with my progress on the first pair of bespoke socks for Romancing the Vote

Hoping my final three winners reply to my emails so I can get their (non-sock) items in the mail or their sock yarn selected!

Ponky would cheer for you but she’s too busy being flat.

What’s your sign?
July 4, 2024 at 1:55 AM
Oh no, my cat, she is so flat.
