Yes, it would be nice if Congress held the executive branch to the rule of law. Is it going to happen right now? No. They can't do it. THEY DON'T HAVE THE VOTES. They will, HOWEVER,have them in fewer than two years. Keep your eyes on the prize.

The first rule of politics is counting. Dems don't have the votes and there's no way in hell any Republican is going to fucking vote to impeach Hegseth or whomever. It's not going to happen while primary season is open. Even if x defector wins they will have wasted valuable resources. See: Cornyn

I remember her fondly. I hope my retirement is as lively as hers. She was a badass. Sweet, but took no shit. We can all hope for a next door neighbor as lively as Nathalie.

This is ALSO the same mumuu-clad, often HAMMERED, sweet elderly neighbor. She would inevitably call for my BIL to help pick her up after she'd fallen down in her yard, flat on her back, unable to get up. This was all after downing a handle of whiskey between her and her husband, starting at noon.
