That's on top of the visual craft aspect of it, where the average person probably can tell if something is off or feels weird, but often are unable to articulate why let alone determine a solution. so it feels random, awkward, soft and gooey and out of your control

Design is messy; the best design requires one to surrender your ego and assumptions to the opinions and preferences of people you don't know. You can't predict their actions fully nor fully control what they will do, or how they access or desire to use whatever it is that you built
