I've tried to never care about being cool, but I dislike when one group doesn't even try to understand the other.
New slang is fine, but acting like old slang is meaningless garbage is not.

(Watching gen Z realize it's their turn to feel old and out of touch is hilarious. Getting older happens to us all, and not getting the slang very young people are using is a rite of passage. Congratulations, you've reached the age where you get to not care about being cool.)

Finished reading Pawn of Prophecy by David Eddings and really enjoyed it!
Numerous factions & cultures make for a fun read, full of colour even among fantasy tropes.
The story handles dramatic irony very well; never do I feel too much is held back from the child protagonist.
A real adventure!
