Challenging Children with Art: Beyond Age Appropriateness

I can't stop thinking about DAOs at the minute. Late to the party, I know... I've always felt (without proper research and consideration) that the whole blockchain, crypto, web3 explosion was snake oil. But I can't stop thinking about real world applications for DAOs.

Excited to pick up a signed copy of the new @rutgerbregman.com book this morning on release. Great start to a sunny Thursday. Hopefully it can kick start some of the ideas I've been toying with.

This looks utterly bonkers and is giving me Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark vibes.

Saw The House Party the other day, based on Miss Julie by Strindberg. It was an fresh, modern three hander, made more interesting by choreography by Scott Graham & Frantic Assembly. A particular scene left me unsettled though. It felt gratuitous, not adding to the drama. Anyone else seen it?

I took Alex to the tiny town of play today in Batley. We had a great day driving police cars, doing our hair and trying on tiaras, and of course learning how to make daddy a flat white.

I’ve never been that into Glass, usually more of a Reich or Pärt listener, but Iggy played a bit of 'The Light' today on 6music and I had to give the whole thing a spin . The way it builds is incredible and inspired in form by an experiment on the speed of light.

"We choose to go to the moon, not because it is easy, but because it will provide short term geopolitical advantage."

Now it's all started clicking for me and explains a lot of what's going on right now!

Thanks @zachweinersmith.bsky.social A City on Mars is an insightful but hilarious read.

Despite presumably being the target market, I just wasn't a fan of Schmigadoon... But put that thing back on a stage and I'm sold.

Some of my more colourful bits and pieces. I don't usually shoot colour, but when I do... It's mostly orange and teal.

This is a fun listen. In Bradford and beyond! Really loving this level of exposure and focus on Bradford from the BBC. Wouldn't it be nice to have this every year?

Do any theatre folk have experience of using Woojer Vests in a performance setting - mainly focusing on accessibility for audience members? If so - would you be happy dropping me a line? I'd love to pick your brain! #Theatre #Accesibility #Tech #TheatreSky

"You can't do this - this is England!"
"No. This is Bradford!"

Can't wait for this. When I first read Streets of Darkness nearly 10 years ago now, I knew this would make it's way to the screen. Not long to wait now. :D

The Lord Webber hinting at launching his new show "The Illusionist" in Bradford. That would be a nice coup wouldn't it?

Was just listening to the radio and during a sketch about Stone Henge and the Uffington White Horse, these words were uttered.

"Art for free public consumption is one of the noblest goals you can pursue in office."

Hit hard. Just putting it here as a note to self.

Learnt a good hack today. If you get a Costa from a machine in a Shell garage and you have a shell card AND a Costa card... You can collect both a Costa bean and a shell drink stamp. Meaning you double your ability to receive free hot drinks. Cashback!
