Let's not aesthetize this legitimate protest.

Tower Hamlets has one of the highest homelessness rates in London: 8,500 people in reach of the royal tower - are homeless (including temporary accommodation) at the end of this year, a rate of 1 in 37 residents.

Ai can already make and respond to commercial calls. Rather than torture a generation that can't schmooze (for which I have sympathy), teach them to TTS and NLP. You'll make a fortune.

please don't embark on the adventure of small talk.

Building an Api to verify all the sources cited are legitimate will take around half an hour; if you have an academic organisation that doesn't use agentic modelling, I don't know what to say.

I don't understand most of this slop journalism, or what you hope to gather from it.
1/academic engines literally look at BILLIONS of sources.
2/the most well-knownn engines (eg. Perplexity/Semantic Scholar) are focused on sourcing peer-evaluated papers.

What do you not understand?

It's probably not the wisest of moves.

We're moving towards Ai Soverignty, which is problematic for Europe because of non-competitive rules against the US in terms of Article 6. The UK isn't tied to that, and can therefore decouple from US Ai hegenomy and strengthen its security.

classic hauntology.

If you want to avoid this, you need social and community investment, better representation and more effective rights.

- in your community - means you see yourself as extractive labour, & therefore marginalised & exploited.
The "Return of the Repressed", then.
Ergo, flags etc are used to bolster a sense of colonialism; to "Other" the outsider & bolster your position.
From a gothic marxist perspective

Woke identity politics has no good points - it destroys lives and removes rights.

Empathy is a bad thing, btw.

I'm not sure why this journalist thinks otherwise - at worst empathy is "feeling" the worst aspects of another person who is "experiencing" the debilitating aspects of their pathology.

In other words, empathy is the tool of the enabler - of confirming their suspicions.

Not so surprisinng.

Flag-waving jingoism is a sign of fear, rather than overt racism.

They fall under the neurosis of Freud's uncanny.

In poor communities, outsiders are considered problematic - they represent extractive labour; in other words, are part of colonial history. Presence in Scotland

The worst aspects of positivism is to assume you may be "defined" & "controlled" by a particular chemical cosh.

By all means be more self-reflexively aligned & "in touch with yourself" if that's your thing & it makes you happy. However, the medicalization of culture is pernicious in the extreme.

overlap of symptons, the connective tissue to "identity," mixing up the psychological and neurological, and connfirmation bias leading to a feedback loop.

It also debilitates by removing agency, or - conversely - excuses behaviour. One of the reasons for why the human ape is focused on "morality."

I test (variously) for autism (who doesn't?), schzoid personality disorder, dissassociative disorder, just being a writer, being a "particular" oxford-type person.
The problem with self-diagnosis in 2025 is the considerable

"We never bother..."

I like the bit in the trailer where the fish says, in English (Estuary): "We're here to sort your mess out..."

Classic RTD.

The alternative might be Ivy, by dint of the fact The Penguin was set on exploiting the flooding of Gotham. He might build his property empire by poisoning the water and blaming the municipality, then.

First of all, not part of the "Batverse," but a Matt Reeves vehicle.

Secondly, I'm pretty sure she'll be playing Maggie Kyle - Selena's sister, who - coincidently - is half-sister to Sofia Falcone.

I still think it probably doesn't work on its own terms for attracting donations. It's a bit Channel 4.
December 5, 2025 at 5:04 PM
I do kind of get it: the use of the headline is performative, and makes use of the sentiment of the charity that exults a fight against "racism and anti-migrant rhetoric."

It attracts clicks, outrage and attention.
I get it.

I wonder if Mr Wood will furnish GB News with his festive good cheer to all of the UK's various subjects, as he did last year?
