Department of Defense Law of War Manual, Sec. 18.3.2.1 states the "requirement" to refuse illegal orders.

What’s its key example? Wait for it . . . It’s "orders to fire upon the shipwrecked."

Thoughts on reading more:
1. Set goals if it helps you
2. Read things you enjoy. If you're not enjoying it, stop reading it.
3. Join a book club?
4. Genre fiction and romance is just as valid as literature and classics. Fanfiction and smut count just as much as "literature"

DON’T LET THEM FOOL YOU

Black Friday $ sales are higher this year because things are more expensive. So consumers aren’t buying more items, they’re just paying more them.

When the two-part miniseries Anne of Green Gables debuted on CBC on Dec. 1, 1985, nearly six million Canadians tuned in. It went on to win 10 Geminis, an Emmy and a Peabody.
To this day, the miniseries is studied in film schools.
This is the story of that miniseries.

When I see a celebrity, usually a country sanger who obviously leans right, asking for charitable donations for things like wounded warriors, etc. I get pissed. If it weren't for your party, there would be funding for our veterans, children's hospitals, etc. without needing your little ego boost ad.

96% of the highest-paid workers in the US have paid sick days.

Just 38% of the lowest-paid workers get them — including the thousands of retail workers working this holiday weekend.

Only in America do we call working people ‘essential’ but deny them paid sick leave.

Lol, Zillow tried to rate the climate risks facing individual properties. The real estate industry *hated* it, precisely because it worked -- it made selling risky properties more difficult. So they rebelled & Zillow caved.

If Democrats want to regain working people, they must disavow Big Money.

They must hammer economic populism — and have a laser focus on the cost of living crisis in America.

They are lawless bestial scum.

Listen, if AI can replace executives and NOT real workers, let’s get to it. 👋🏻
A study by Dayforce shows 87% of executives use AI for work, compared to 57% of managers and just 27% of employees.

I think this explains the massive disconnect we see in how CEOs talk about AI versus everyone else. It also raises the question of how useful it truly is for frontline work?
