Just finished reading this book recommended by my daughter. I believe it should be read by every adult in the world, but not at bedtime. Perfect for Hallowe'en as it's terrifying. More info in alt text.

A photo of Strawberry Field (not fields). This is near the childhood home of John Lennon. Ideas are all around us.

Finally finished my alphabet painting for my granddaughter for the holidays. Followed tutorials by @Dewintonpaperco.com on YouTube. It was challenging, being miniature and following someone else's work, but I loved it!

Having some fun looking at photos from our honeymoon in 2000. This is Point Barrow, Alaska. Whale bones in dumpsters. The bones are left far from the town so the polar bears stay away. Reminds me of the Flintstones.

Made a funny little watercolor card for my elderly mom. Although her life has become smaller, I chose three things she loves - the Southwest, out to eat, and games - both playing and watching. Thanks to Becca Courtice, @thehappyevercrafter, for the idea! Details in ALT.

My two new WIPs - one for me, one for my 3-year-old granddaughter for the holidays. Miniature flowers A-Z taught by @DeWintonPaperCo.com on YouTube. I'm learning a ton! (Type of flowers in alt text). So fun to do!

Last night was date night. After a fine meal with some homegrown food, my husband told me he'd tell my fortune. Intrigued, I said okay.

Bless his sweet heart! With a necklace on his head, a scarf as his turban, and his robe (repurposed), we laughed hard and long! Best date ever!

Watercolor portrait of my stepdad from a 1980s trip to Russia. Mom loved the snapshot, so I did my best for her. He was a wonderful man!

Working on writing my mom's life history with her - not to publish, except for her. It's an interesting project to get her to enjoy her memories and, hopefully, create more. Born during the depression, she didn't know her family was poor. #amwriting #writingcommunity #writing #wip #writerslife

Just around a bend on our morning walk, my husband and I came upon a mama deer nursing her young. Alas, no camera. So in honor of her, here is a picture of a mama in Yellowstone NP, 2015. Happy simple joys to all!

When I feel overwhelmed by our current times, I look back and wonder if days gone by were really "the good ole days". One type of window to look through.

Here's another - Hotel Meade in Bannack, Montana.

In remembrance of those who gave their lives the last time a dictator tried to rule the world. You will never be forgotten.

Just finished "James" by Percival Everett. Good book!

A fascinating book - reimagined from Twain's "Huck Finn". The adventures are told from the escaped slave, Jim's, point of view. Made me think and feel. Worth the read. 2025 Pulitzer Prize winner for fiction. I recommend it!

Oops! Forgot to put in the leader, Earle Dexter, and his bride, Esther. Also on that trip in 1915.

The family's understanding is that grandfather, Earle Dexter, led the first Boy Scout group into Yosemite in 1915.

About 1977, folks began wearing labels on the outside to show status - Calvin Klein on jeans, etc. This quilted label vest was my quiet protest. Details in Alt text.

Just love this man’s voice! A Cappella sure makes it clear that the music is flowing through his heart.
