Fun fact! the backflip, illegal since 1976, has been unbanned since the 2024-2025 season. However, it is a choreographic element and not worth any points on its own. Adam Siao Fa, Ilia Malinin, and Deanna Stellato-Dudek are skaters who have recently included backflips in their programs.
