yeah i mean all aesthetic concerns set aside, the system looks fun to play around with. i just don't think building a wow-style house could keep me interested for long.
plus, as you say, i stopped giving a shit about collection in wow when i changed regions and lost everything. still mad about it.

i have spent a lot of time thinking about housing and interior design systems in games, as i spent 4 years working on a project where similar customization was (at varying times and amounts) a central tenet of the gameplay.
and i now work on a long-running, very successful "highly curated" variant.

maybe i'm way off the mark here, but it's been my concern with wow housing--for me, personally--from the beginning. you kind of have to either mega-curate or embrace some jank and accept stepping out of your "style" to bring this kind of system to its fullest potential.

yes, agreed. courageous anthem is as powerful as it is in large part because it's so easy to apply and applies near universally. but i also wouldn't say it feels *busted*. maybe one of the most powerful "base class" abilities in the game, but to me that says more about other classes than bard tbh.

It took me maybe 2 or 3 sessions of buffing a heavy hitting damage dealer to go from being pretty underwhelmed with Bard to seriously considering if it might be the most powerful class in the game.

And yes, I have used 26 Nov 2025 for example. Ironically, I picked that up from working in a job with records standards that meant we had to do it to remove the ambiguity between the US dates and international dates. All comes full circle.

Not relevant tho, you don’t do DD/MM/YY because of how you say it. If you wanted to mirror how you say it, you’d just type it with words. You do it that way because ‘smallest denomination to largest denomination’ makes logical sense in a numerical format.
