Is that one of yours? Like everybody else we are very impressed with your footage of the weedy pond. I got big fat zeros on all my Blackbird counts. Last couple of days a pair have taken up residence and are around the feeders and water all the time. It's like they're mocking me.

Big house just up the road sold off some land a few years ago for house building. Smallish house built, but there was a tree that had to stay.

If I ever have a lot of money- talking about £100 here- I don't know what to do with it. It seems, simultaneously, not enough and too much. If I spend it all on this I can't get those but if I get those I'll never have the money for that again. It would probably be the same with £900,000.

Photographing Phlox paniculata Barci, our best Phlox, and was delighted to see a Hummingbird Hawk Moth. We often have them in the evening, but I've not seen one flying during the day.

Nobody told this Ipomea, or the Begonia, that they shouldn't be growing out of a gap in the paving.

A purple Ipomea and a pink flowered Begonia grandis subsp. evansiana. The Begonia is a perfectly hardy late flowering perennial in our sandy East Anglian soil, but it is usually in the border.

They are all pretty good. I'm a 'Silver Morning' and 'Like a Seed' kind of chap. I still miss 'Straight no Chaser' mag where you could read about people like Kenny Rankin.
