Can’t remember budget ‘case studies’ ever being quite so funny. Especially in newspapers that recently anointed Liz Truss a fiscal genius.
Wow - this guy must be really, REALLY bad with money if an extra £208 per month will “ruin” his retirement.

Let’s take a look at his situation based on what he told the @Telegraph

Because this does NOT add up!

No, this is not a “poor pensioner” scrabbling around for pennies…

Bronze head of Hadrian, from a larger statue. Hollow cast in the round. The pupils of the eyes, probably of glass, are now lost. The head has been roughly hacked from its body. 117-138 AD. Found in the River Thames at London Bridge.

This petition should hit 100K soon (hitting 95K now).
But it needs to spread wider - take it to Facebook, WhatsApp, everywhere

Ha ha, such fake outrage...hilarious...Monty Python lives on!
Huge respect to the papers for finding both an 88 year old worried about the tax bill on her 6 bedroom Kensington house and a 20 year old fretting about only being able to save £12k a year tax free.
Top work all around. These are not easy case studies to find.

Here is David Coburn, the former UKIP MEP who was mentioned in WhatsApp messages between the traitor Nathan Gill and his Russian paymaster, saying there was cash available for Coburn.
Needless to say, I have never met the man.

Not only did Brexit not provide any extra money for the NHS - as liar-in-chief Boris Johnson promised - but Brexit is impoverishing the UK each year by an amount of money not far off the annual NHS budget.

Thanks Farage.

Health service inflation estimated at ~4% (population increase, people living longer, ill for longer etc)

NHS yearly increase for 14 yrs has been less than 1%.

You can’t cut NHS by ~3% a year for 14 yrs & expect efficiency savings.

Things are cut to the bone & beyond.

I know. My wife is a nurse.
Public services are largely paid for by a combination taxes, NI and fees. Surely better public services can be achieved through productivity gains as well as increased funding… but never something for nothing.

And it wasn't just that one time Farage said he admired Putin.

He's been running defence for him in Europe and America for over a decade
May 2014, the Charles formerly known as Prince said privately that by invading Ukraine and occupying Crimea, Putin was doing "just about the same thing as Hitler"

Nigel Farage was outraged by this statement, saying it wasn't fair on the Russian President

Maybe if Nigel Farage is brave enough to talk to @vicderbyshire.bsky.social on @bbcnewsnight.bsky.social then she can ask him to confirm that he hadn't had a close relationship with Nathan Gill since 2014 throughout UKIP, the Brexit Party, Reform UK and their common platform, Russia Today.
The casual reaction of Nigel Farage to the pro-Putin crimes of his trusted ally Nathan Gill should tell the people of Wales everything they need to know about Reform UK's priorities

Someone needs to point out their connection wasn't just UKIP + Reform UK
He was by his side, a Brexit Party MEP too

Nigel Farage has spent £1m taking out adverts in the papers to distract from the Nathan Gill Russian bribe scandal.

We can't let him buy himself out of this. We need an investigation into Russian influence in our politics.

In today's Budget, the Chancellor spoke about building the economy “brick by brick” but left out the very foundation that underpins it all: nature.

The same Government that promised to restore our natural world appears instead to have wiped it from their agenda.
