I'm wondering the same thing, Sue. I'm wondering the same thing.
Sue Storm, the Invisible Woman, attacks a Nazi while being frustrated that she still has to fight Nazis so long after the end of World War II.

And thank you! By the way, I made a video today (on TikTok and Instagram) about the depictions of Mesoamerican gods at Marvel, and I included Chaac and Tlaloc from your book!

I interviewed Jane Goodall years ago. She sat in the center of the room while reporters circled around her and asked questions.

I think she treated the reporters like chimps, avoiding eye contact and speaking softly so as not to alarm the herd.

Honestly, I get that.

She should never be forgotten.

The only problem with #MarvelVoices #AvengersAcademy ? It was stuck in a place where only longtime fans would see it. The #MarvelUnlimited app is great, but this comic is EXACTLY what it would take to bring in new readers. #Marvel is on #Webtoons now. This should be THERE.
The teenagers heroes of the best teenage hero book Marvel has had in decades! Marvel Voices Avengers Academy!

I have been saying since #MarvelVoices #AvengersAcademy began, this was one of the best written comics currently at Marvel. Outstanding art. Engaging characters. It made me laugh out loud or weep openly every issue — sometimes both.

Thank you all so much.
AVENGERS ACADEMY:

Warning! Major spoilers for #60 follow...please do not swipe til after reading this week's issue.
And so we come to the end.

It has I confess come upon us sooner than we thought and more sudden than we hoped – but that, I suppose, is the nature of all life’s endings.

[section of thanks abridged for character limit]

Comics will mend your heart, if you let them. When I was a scared, lonely, closeted kid, the Marvel universe’s heroes were there for me when very little else was. That is a debt I can never pay back, but one I’ve tried with great travail to pay forward. I want to believe we have afforded a little of that same refuge to those who sought it. I hope you saw yourself; please know you were seen. Til we all meet again (and may it be soon), may you find each other. May you find yourself. Remember that there’s always time – but waste no time. And what is broken is still beautiful.

Above all, remember love. It is all that lasts.

It’s is, sorta. That’s the Red Skull in a Steve body as president in What If # 28 (1991)
kevingarcia.bsky.social
Good thing such an administration would never act like this…
What If…? #28 (1991)
President Steve Rogers seems suspiciously out of character as a shoots a member of his cabinet who suggests anything is less than perfect… while saying “You’re fired!”

Dang, but the Storm book by @ayodelemurewa.bsky.social is uncannily good!
Storm of the X-Men fights an enemy who says, “OUR LIVES ARE
BUT PARCHMENTS--COMICAL BOOKS IN THEIR ENDLESS LIBRARIES.
OUR SUFFERINGS AND TRIBULATIONS ARE MERE AMUSEMENTS FOR THEM TO MARVEL AT.
WE ARE PAWNS IN THE HANDS OF THESE CREATORS.”

Bucky sayin’ like it is.
Captain America’s partner Bucky Barnes, carrying a dead Nazi, while saying that anyone a Nazi wants dead could be a friend.

@gailsimone.bsky.social just wrote the most important piece of dialogue any Marvel writer ever could for Hispanic Heritage Month.

Thank you.

Frickin’ sweet! I was at the Texas Latino Comic Con today and I tried not to buy anything, but some stuff looked too good!
kevingarcia.bsky.social
I’d say pace yourself, but Last Unicorn merch is worth it!

Walt Kelly’s Pogo inspired many.
Characters from Walt Kelly’s Pogo comic strip discuss what America’s aspirations were.
kevingarcia.bsky.social
It’s kind of… squicky… to commodify PTSD
kevingarcia.bsky.social
Marvel, this is a weird way to market your new movie.
kevingarcia.bsky.social
Not gunna lie, at this point I’d CONSIDER it

You should check out some of this storyline then. Doom basically gives everyone free education, free healthcare, and ends all international military conflicts. The only trade off is that there's no freedom of speech, no right to privacy, and you have to worship him.
kevingarcia.bsky.social
#MarvelVoices #AvengersAcademy does #OneWorldUnderDoom right. @meakoopa.bsky.social
The White House with Doctor Doom's flag flying over it as a reporter comments, "I'm Sorry everyone. America has fallen. God help us all."
kevingarcia.bsky.social
This looks flippin’ SPECTACULAR!
kevingarcia.bsky.social
I’m not caught up on Andor yet, but those are actors who took over roles from others.
kevingarcia.bsky.social
That is GORGEOUS! I need to check this out, it’s one of my favorite parts of the book!
