New: SEGA reminded #SonicRacingCrossworlds players of its Terms of Use after detecting cheating and unauthorized mods.

The company warned that violations of its EULA may result in account bans or legal action; but creative mods (like custom skins) are still allowed and encouraged.

SEGA detected “cheating, use of unauthorized external tools, modification of game content, and unauthorized access of the game program” - all violations of the game’s End User License Agreement. These actions violate the terms outlined in SEGA’s End User License Agreement and may additionally constitute intellectual property infringement or other legal violations.” (SEGA, via social media)

MODDING TERMS, 1 Oct 2025:
“Where possible, SEGA encourages its users to express their creativity and enhance the experience of certain games through the creation of modifications (including but not limited to new items, weapons, characters, models, textures, levels, story lines, music and game modes) for use with the Product.” (SEGA, via designated EULA)
