What so-called "Mainstream America" knows about Black history is pretty much what couldn't be suppressed at the time, or since. There is so much more and much of it every bit as courageous and consequential, albeit in a quieter way, as the talking point events we have today. So much more.

I think Russia does not think it has to win. Rather, Russia thinks it must not lose. Not the same thing. They fear being overrun by NATO/Ukraine and they have worked so hard to create this self-fulfilling prophecy, it could very well come true. In a real sense, Russia is a walking dead. We'll see.

Social media has made the acknowledgement the abuse happens MUCH more prevalent. The likelihood that abuse may happen to a child has not changed nearly so much.

I wish it were so. The percentage probability that a child will be exploited or abused has really not changed. Only the willingness to out it. All too recently in the past, is was taboo to publicly acknowledge the abuse ever happened at all. Welcome the changes. Change more.

Pedophillia and and domestic child abuse are as they ever were. What *has* changed is how openly we talk about it and how openly we do something. Precious little and precious few but VASTLY better than just 50 years ago. So much *better*.

Trader Joe's has been DEI but in a more tokenized fashion. Mostly shows in alternative lifestyles. If an employee is Black, it's extremely rare they were born in the US. I barely go there anymore. There's an Aldi around the corner that totally shades it. Managed by the nicest man, a Muslim. Hmmm....
