Thank you for the reminder of Ben Howard. The 2024 gig in Edinburgh will stay with me, I wish I could experience that same night once again. A favourite from that album for me is Little Plant. Just painstakingly beautiful. 🖤

Still love this song and album. Now to drive to Aberdeen with it blaring.

My pal, Brenda, has started to make her beautiful prints available at nuts prices. Most are now sold out but hopefully some will be made available again. She also does a zine called Here's Where You Belong which has just been reprinted. Check out her shop... brensweeney.bigcartel.com/product/here...

"Keshed vividly describes the strange beauty, stubborn pride and abject horror of lives brought low and broken. There's humour; but no hope."

Big up @robtruestories.bsky.social for the latest awesome Keshed endorsement to add to the list, really homing in on the dark side 🙏🖤

Spent almost 4 hours in the local library today. Such a pull to this place. Picked a book off the shelf that caught my eye, and opened it.
As I watched my daughter, so happy amongst the books, I smiled reading this. 💙
I fucking love books. 📚

🙌 I know this feeling.

I spent the afternoon slipping in and out from the beginning of sleep to this album.

It was quite remarkable, my heart had a few pangs as the sound poured itself over me, the kind of pangs you get when you listen to something that really moves you.

Find myself with some hours all to myself - it doesn't happen often enough, so when time in solitude appears - and I don't already have plans - I can feel paralysed deciding what to spend them on.
Music & books - I think I'll head there first.
I'll blink & those hours of recharge will have gone.

I'll get on it. I have a few hours to myself today. 🙌

We can't wait for the new Katya Balen book.

We've loved all previous releases and expect this one to nestle in beside the others instantly.

A joy to read aloud to my daughter, these books open up wonderful in-depth discussions.

Sublime & Katya Balen soars to new heights 📖 Look up & see the upside - Letters from the Upside is out 25/9 & it’s a perfect class readaloud exploring an dysregulated child who discovers the healing power of nature. Thanks @bloomsburyed.bsky.social 🐦

The Jay, The Beech And The Limpetshell is a book that's partly about being a parent but mostly about being a kid. It's about being a kid in the woods and at the seaside and in a warming world. It's about picking up toads and watching Octonauts. It's pretty good. www.hive.co.uk/Product/Rich...

The Woodcock is a novel set on the North Sea coast in the 1920s. It's kind of about a naturalist and his wife and a pier-building lunatic, but also it's about sex and fear and love and nature and the sea and sex. www.hive.co.uk/Product/Rich...
Me with The Woodcock, looking somewhat murderous.
