I should have realised something was up when they locked the doors to the theatre once the lights had gone down.

My conclusion was that pantomime was the way to keep drama kids happy after they got older and failed to get a bit part on Coronation Street. The rest of us are best described as victims.

When I worked in the SEN school, they took the kids to 2 pantomimes in a week. By the middle of the second one, I was asking myself 'who was this for?' half the kids were clearly bored and the staff were spending more time calming the kids down disrupting it for everyone else.

Why do they insist on this? Marketing nowadays is so patronising.

I've had trouble, as I know many of my colleagues have, with students that want to push far-right narratives, and the suggestion to back up with empirical structure is pretty much an unanimous response, funny thing is there's very little to back up these claims, other than hack writers.
