Are there any 70 years olds who are doing testosterone replacement therapy? Are you doing this to get more muscles or to have better sex with your loved one. Why are you doing this? What is the cost and what is the reward?

Wall art is popular here in SE Asia. I think the best we've seen are in Penang.

I was at a crossroads here looking out upon the mountainous terrain of Northern Italy. Do I continue to ride the career wave as a medtech exec or drop it all and move to Thailand and take on consulting. It all turn out well and I am thriving as a 72 year old with the stress level of an infant.

Nothing is ever the end of you if you have even a pinch of ego to form a protest. They negotiated me out of my contract because I didn't fit their image of a lead news anchor in a small midwestern town. They were correct. I was not the best fit for the time or the place.

Took a trip to central Vietnam this past May (perfect weather) and like always I planned out the itinerary in detail. So much to see and do between the 3 cities. I would have liked to spend an extra day in Hue. Next trip will be up North.

My wife turns 60 in a couple of months. I would bet she'll still teach yoga when she is in her 70s.

He's not dead. This is just the way this mangy, scruffy, battle-scarred backstreet tomcat likes to sleep when he comes to visit us and then just plops down and sleeps for hours. Mango is his name and he is as sweet as a mango. He is also butt ugly!

Had it all planned out ahead of time and even pre-paid flight and hotels for best rates. Then COVID hit and right before we were scheduled to leave, Thailand shut down all international travel out of Bangkok. Ughhh. Only one hotel gave me a refund. Flights were non reimbursable. Ahem.

For many years I traveled the world speaking with radiologists and university scientists about new technologies that would impact their professions.

You are in prison and have no hope. You are hungry. Cold. Four walls. Nothing else. Fear of torture. Execution. Endless day and night. Then. Suddenly. Freedom. I give my heart to these good people imprisoned because they wanted to be free to express their god given right to be free.

I was a television reporter in Cleveland in my younger days (1982-84) at Channel 5 (WEWS). I sometimes wonder if anybody remembers me. I did some pretty good reports.

The most amazing thing coming out of Syria is the instant freedom that thousands of imprisoned men, women and children are experiencing at this very moment in time. Just imagine being in a cell for months and years with no hope of freedom and suddenly your cell door is opened and you are free.

Another batch of cinnamon rolls that will last me for some time because I freeze them. They will taste just as good thawed out a month from now.

Good for Biden. He pardoned his son. This eliminates all pretense that there is no moral difference between Trump or Biden or by extension, between Republicans or Democrats. Best to vote for anyone who you think represents your best, personal interests and forget about past party loyalties.

Ice cream cones: proof that we’ll happily sprint through the gauntlet of brain freeze and sticky hands for a few moments of frosty bliss.

So, one more deep dive into my "Ruiz" Santa Barbara ancestry: This lady is my ancestor from Santa Barbara where I was born in 1952. I had no idea she played any part in the surrender of Spanish California to the American invaders.

My Grandmother, Rita Ruiz, said our ancestors were founders of Santa Barbara, California where I was born in Sept. of 1952. I recently unearthed this news story from 1959 that recorded the death of my Great Grandfather, Sisto Ruiz who I was living with at the time of his death in Santa Barbara:

Crispy corn tortillas topped with chorizo, refried beans, diced cabbage, cheese and chunky salsa. That's a Tostada or Mexican pizza that is best with a margarita or glass of red wine.

When it’s Saturday night and we have to stay at home to take care of my wife’s invalid Dad. Why not make some Mexican pizza and buy some red wine and make a normal sunset into a memorable event. The cats loved it.

This is one of my favorite YouTube series not just because he is a master carpenter giving life to old wooden boats. What I like is feeling happy after viewing each and every one of his video posts over the past few years. He is exceptional as a teacher, videographer, storyteller and human being.

Just turned 72. Been logging everything I eat for the past 7 months using the "Lose it" app and have dropped down to 175 lbs from a high of 210 lbs. My calorie range is 1,200 - 1,550 per day and that keeps my weight stable. I also work out 3 times a week lifting weights and walking in the park.

Mango is a scruffy street cat that adopted us for a short time. He'd usually show up all dirty, battered and bruised from a hard night of Tomcatting. Tried to clean him up a bit. But, he has a face that only a Mother could love.

I've been involved in medical imaging since the early days of picture archiving and communication (PACS), bespoke display cards and dial up modems. Retired now after wrapping up 10 years as a consultant in SE Asia.
