Just some rando talking about stuff. Probably comics, Doctor Who, Star Trek or other things I'm a fan of...
Superman must have never told Lois about this, or she'd know he'd be sympathetic...

TMP made money, $139 million in 1979. The problem was the budget for TMP had ballooned to $44 million, cutting into profitability, and Paramount expected it to be bigger based on Star Wars (~$775 million in 1977).

IIRC if you adjust for inflation, TMP bests each of the other films in box-office.

They probably mean the second (1983) Casablanca tv series WB did with David Soul as Rick.

If they went digital only, they'd probably entertsin licensing the right to print to another company (assuming they don't just license the characters rather than do digital comics, but I've seen a lot of speculation about using digital editions to expand content delivered through Netflix as a goal)

Playing the grandmother to the 11 year old version of Chuck (the character Hiddleston plays as an adult) afaik.

"Listen, strange women lyin' in ponds distributin' swods is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony."

Not really a comic, but a fun celebration of old comics (old in 1971) with articles and lots of pinups. #TopShelfFriday #comics #comicsky

BTiLC is one I've watched a lot.

Another one I watch when I come across it - and intentionally every couple of years -
a man in a suit and tie is saying " i am serious and don 't call me surely "
Alt: a man in a suit and tie is saying "i am serious and don't call me surely" in a clip from Airplane!

The dude walking in is in jeans and a long sleeve shirt, after all!

Actually maybe razorback is a hero, don't know. Question still stands about the esthetic!

Wait...exactly how many supervillains exist that look like an animal swallowed a dude feet first so only their head is visible? Razorback, Rhino, Grizzly...more????

The MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE movies. Loved the TV Series, so Peter Graves and Gregg Morris talking about how the 1st film trashed the TV series made the films a never watch for me.

GAME OF THRONES - when people began insisting I read it online (the first place I'd heard of it), they - strangers to me - all obsessed over how 'real' and 'gritty' it was by...constantly bringing up that two characters are in an incestuous relationship.

Haha yes! I had the Limited Collector's Edition this is reprinted in as a kid and it is still rattling around in my head after all these years!

I was trying to remember, doesn't Sivania create Sivanium as well in that story?

The big question is, was SUPERMANIUM a stronger metal than MARVELIUM?

Only really knew about this strip from the 2 comic issues Dell put out (from the same creative team).

Rewatched it recently for the first time since I rented it on VHS back in the day. It's a fun film.

Iirc, the Blue Monkey was supposed to be tied to one of the kids talking about a nightmare they had, and the name gets applied to the insects later but the scene got cut.

I like to think if this happens it's because I rewatched the film on Sunday.
