That is so true. And I feel so much for Hayer's family who have waited so long for justice that will likely never come.

They did find them - they just weren't charged. One is missing and presumed dead. Another went to jail for another murder and is out now. But the person who hired the killers, believed to be in the Babbar Khalsa terrorist group, was never charged. They clearly wanted to shut Hayer up

Ontario I believe. The father moved the family there at the height of the threats. But the Alkhalil family also moved to Ontario.

You’re welcome. I wish I knew more in this case. But the victim was so young that there is not a lot of history to discover.

That's not something I would comment on.

I'm glad some cases are over. This one seems like a reasonable plea deal as he has admitting to killing Duhre. The one last week for UN gangster Conor D'Monte seemed like he will get off lightly, though we'll have to see at sentencing.

As I said, he is already serving a life sentence. This sentence will be concurrent, but all of it would be a factor if/when he applies for parole 20 years from now.

Wiwchar was already serving a life sentence in the June 2012 Toronto murder of John Raposo. His two co-accused Larry Amero and Rabih Alkhalil were earlier convicted - Amero of conspiracy x 2 in the Duhre murder and plot to kill Sukh Dhak; Alkhalil of 1st-degree murder/conspiracy

While Dean Wiwchar admitted he pulled the trigger and killed Sandip Duhre in a busy hotel lobby, his guilty plea was to two counts of conspiracy to commit murder, Sentencing hearing will be Nov. 14.
