The causes include such as the use of components with a (deliberately) short service life, non-repairable composite materials, & vulnerable technical components (touchscreens, etc.).

The scandal is not really the alleged bribery, but Trump's obvious aversion to women in leadership positions.
Misogyny in its purest form.
