🌠 I'm kishi, owner of kishisdoujinshicorner.com, a website dedicated to translating/sharing old Gundam and Legend of the Galactic Heroes stuff, mostly focusing on print publications (such as books + magazines) and video games from the 1980s to the 2000s.

Road to Char's Counterattack - Animedia 12/1987

Getting back to Gundam articles and pre-release CCA coverage with this feature in Animedia, including comments from Hiroyuki Kitazume and a few others from the new generation of staff working on the film.

Found some old Mandarake auction listings for cels of character art that appears in the Chibi Chara game. Odd how Poplin's hair color is correct on the cel but instead appears brown in game

Finished the game. I'm not sure how long it'll take me to pull this all together, but I'm planning on a separate post for each disc that will cover both the gameplay and animated segments

So disc 2 is a board game that you need to beat 10 times (5 for each faction) at different ranks to get all the endings. I guess we'll see how long this takes...

Finally started playing the LoGH chibi-chara game I got a few months back. It's been a little while since I did a write up about a game, so I'll plan on doing that once I finish both discs. Might be an opportunity to practice video subbing again too

Of course these are only the short articles, there's a lot more in my backlog (including at least two Tanaka interviews, though I still haven't decided if I want to tackle that huge one from the mook)

But I'll work on some CCA stuff first before I dive into that

I ended up combining all of the short (less than a page or two) articles about My Conquest from 1987-Feb 1988 into one long post. I didn't realize at first how much I had so it's taking a little longer than I thought, but I'll try to have that done and up on the site next week

Come to think of it, I can probably fit all of the 1987 LoGH blurbs in one post since they're almost all pretty short, so I'm thinking of focusing on those next along with a CCA article from that December (mostly for the unique art from it)

I've been feeling extra motivated to try and knock out a lot of magazine backlog these past few days. There's CCA stuff I need to get back to, but I also want to put a couple posts together compiling early LoGH My Conquest coverage to have that archived as well
