4/5 The Williams Treaties did not resolve these issues as they were & are systemic in nature. In 2010 a settlement was reached for $145 million to compensate the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. We encourage you when thinking about reconciliation to reckon with the idea of these injustices

2/5 We also recognize the enduring presence of all First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples both in Tkaronto and across Turtle Island. Tkaronto is covered by Treaty 13 signed with the Mississaugas of the Credit, and the Williams Treaties, signed with multiple Mississaugas and Chippewa bands.
