I am going on day 3 of this perfume that has embedded itself into my skin and won't let go. My wrist still smells like some sort of mummified, bitter peach. I even tried removing it with oil when soap and water didn't work. It is more clingy than my stalker ex!☠️

No it was a Thinkpad but I think the slimmer the profile of the laptop the more likely it is to get connection issues with the monitor. And then it costs so much to fix that it's just not worth it. 😭

I was told that this has to do with how much natural oil/sweat people have on their skin and what the pH of it is. And the variation can be HUGE in the scent and how long they last. Which def checks out for me LOL.

I will try to see if I can find my old discord account and then (more importantly) get over my introvert tendencies to feel brave enough to try joining a new space where I'm not proficient. I think Auntie Iroh sent me the contact a while back when I had a fandom friend who wanted to try as well.

It was your podfic of Mimispearmint's Closer that I first heard. I usually just read but I didn't have Twitter access when you posted that threadfic from her and so there wasn't a 'read' option so I listened instead and I LOVED IT!!! So fun. I can hear fanfic while cooking dinner, which is great. 😂

One of the things I find interesting is learning about how the reader feels about the characters based on how they do the voices. Like, if wwx's lines are always read in a super arrogant/aggressive voice, or lwj sounds extra-passive no matter what, it hits differently than how I hear them in my head

I have my own head canons on characters so I tend to not enjoy fics where wwx is useless/weak/stupid. But I have a lot of my favorites bookmarked on AO3! I would feel weird podfic'ing someone else's work since I won't be doing fancy things, but I hear you on enjoying seeing which fics people enjoy

oooh. I will check it out! I had downloaded Davinci Resolve (free), which someone had recommended, but it is way to complicated for me😭 and also looks more suited to video than pure audio.

I love that! I read books to my kids and my fam when they're sick or injured or whatever, and life sucks for most of us right now so I just want to settle in to winter and read a story to my wangxian friends. 😂

That feels very intimidating. There are some amazing podfic groups out there and I'm not on that level. I'm more at the "I just want to read a book to my friend" sort of skill 😅
