Is it wild that in this post-terrible-everything state I’m toying with the idea of starting a blog again? Somewhere to dump shit I care about (like recipes or holiday stuff).

I’ve seen some friends log off completely and launch a semi-private substack but that feels too ephemeral.

I love that even if I want to use my private health insurance I first need to engage with an NHS GP to provide an open referral. And even though my NHS GP is a telehealth service, their earliest available appointment is more than two weeks from now 🙃

The newest episode of Otherworld mentioned this Alex Colville painting from 1976 that looks eerily like a screenshot from a PlayStation-era video game and I can’t stop thinking about it.

Almost made coffee for my start of week sync call in my weekend mug. Two weeks ago my boss nearly snorted his own coffee out of his nose when he saw me take a sip from my Dolly Parton mug, this might kill him.

I've always enjoyed viewing the giant red Stansted Express "YOU BETTER NOT BE USING AN OYSTER OR BANK CARD" banners through the context of the Hierarchy of Controls.

Congrats on making it to "substitution" (Oyster Cards still verboten)!
