For clarity/avoidance of doubt - Asian Hornets are invasive and bad news for Honey Bees. AH have - an orange face, yellow legs, mostly black body and are smaller than the European Hornets we've been shooting for months.

European Hornets are important as both pollinators + 4 pest control.

Cygnets are getting quite grown up now.

Took a while to work out functional settings for the Hornets but i'm happy enough with captures now.

All shot at 500mm to avoid disturbing the nest.

Going to miss them when they're gone.

After an hour with the Hornets Noticed the nest guard staring at me. Tested her - moved left, looked back to her and there she was, just as intent😨.
