This was the hardest article I ever read. Because it made me constantly check how I read it 🙂
For the record I am self-taught reader before elementary school. I vaguely remember being really bored when other kids were putting words together from individual letters and syllables

Great article, minor nitpick would be that there is a level of separation between Tolkien and D&D. Gygax famously didn't like Lord of the Rings and used other authors like Howard or Vance as inspiration.

Good. I have completely scraped alignment as hard concept in my homebrew and it was used only for magical creatures or as short-hand for NPC roleplaying.

And some are inherently evil.
Or at least were in the past, when these people had their worldview created. Modern takes are more realistic in that way, that they AFAIK tend to be more about morals of the society and not race.

From what I've read on the forum, this sounds like roughly the play time, when people stop looking at all of the tabs and find the courage to unpause 😉

Sorry, I was too busy enjoying the performance of Jacob Elrodi in Frankenstein to notice, what the rest of the Euphoria gang was up to.

Higher mortgage rates will drive rent higher as well. Those two are connected.

Not an American, but after 30 years of mortgage payment, that is very close to rent, sometimes even lower, I will be able to spend my retirement living for a fraction of costs people who rent do.

He looks like a member of Rammstein tribute band, who doesn't speak English and thinks their songs are about Nazis.

That's literally how French Revolution started.

Ah yes, that Catch 22 of politics. People don't want politicians to earn too much, because they are not doing - according to them - good job, but how they want to attract honest and capable people to actually do good work?

Literally the only reason why this movie exists is that someone thought it would be funny to see Johnson in a wig.

Feels just as polite as " I would please like to have" or any other equivalent that doesn't include rather unnecessary question, but there must be a reason so many of us is using it, if it is maybe just a tradition ingrained in our brains.

Yeah, but it is hardly my fault, so why am I being preemptively defensive?

I may be wrong, but I think I have once read somewhere, that this is an indicator of coming or ongoing economic crisis that some economists actually monitor. What is the lowest value that is included with installment option.

I always order with "could I get?" But whenever I say it I also feel like an idiot. Why would I ask them if I can get something, they explicitly offer me on menu?

Is that Battle of White Mountain? Cool...
November 6, 2025 at 10:37 AM
Yeah, I don't have high hopes, but I believe they eventually added later start to CK3 (or maybe CK2, despite being included in the beta, I never really played those games), so there odds are not zero 🙂

EU5 is game I would love to enjoy, but it just starts about 200 years too early for that. Maybe if they add later start with future DLC.

I love coffee and I hope that maybe one day Starbucks will include some in their menu.

Aren't goats causing a lot of problems by basically destroying the vegetation they graze on? Sheep sound more environmentally friendly. At least in this regard, not sure about the rest.
