of course, a lot of people tend to view "talking heads" in a negative light, but i think just like all kinds of directorial choices.. if its intentionally done so then i think it will fit if its for the right reasons for the appropriate scenes and up to the author ultimately to make that decision!

and other times distracting from what is actually the purpose of the scene. if its a serious talk, intimate, ect also will dictate the flow of when to use it. if its meant to be a set up for a splashy moment or scene change, then that's another story. otherwise, i think it often is the best choice.

personally speaking, i dont care about that rule because i like the format for conversations. i want people to pay close attention to the faces/expressions, as well as what the characters are saying. i find that changing camera angles/perspectives simply for the aesthetic feels at times, shallow-
