The wind was still fierce, as it had been throughout that journey, but the air had turned mild and the ice was already beginning to melt.
Reflections shimmered on the water, blocks of ice drifted slowly, and the soft sound of meltwater added a quiet kind of music to the scene.

CONTRAST is a cross-continental photographic project that documents traditional farming life (livestock) in two vastly different regions: Auvergne, France and Chubut, Patagonia.

Finally I have some time and peace of mind to look at some of the pictures I made in North Iceland. Strong winds made it challenging at times, but the 'lack' of snow made the landscape even more graphic. It was a feast for the eyes!
