I watched the YouTube video over the weekend and it looked a fun night. You can get it now in more places like Spotify and Apple Podcasts... and I really need to look into getting the podcast on things like Amazon and Google now I think about it!

It was a day we had waited 28 years for, a World Cup draw featuring Scotland (and not via the UEFA playoff route like 2022 that ended in failure). Lo and behold, the draw gave us two of the same teams we faced at France ‘98 plus an unknown quantity from our viewpoint. John Bleasdale got reaction from the draw event at Barras Art And Design organised by Gully Singh and features interviews with Gully, Gordon Sheach, Blair McNally, Craig Ferguson and SFF’s new kid on the block Daris, who took time from his busy media schedule to speak to us.

The xG stat is taking an absolute kicking this weekend. Rangers won 3-0 yesterday with 0.74 to Kilmarnock’s 0.75, Hearts are now winning 2-0 with an xG of 0.52 to Celtic’s 1.08.

Celtic look every bit the team getting used to a new manager and his ideas. This might work in a month or so, but doing it in the week of a top of the table clash, a big European night and a cup final seems pretty folly to me.

It's been a couple of days since the World Cup draw was made, which means it's been about a fortnight since the World Cup draw started... As much as I was excited that Scotland were in the World Cup draw for the second competition running, and the first without the caveat of being a playoff team since France 98, everyone knew FIFA and the USA were going to combine to make an absolute farce of this draw.

This is a very good point because it actually highlights how backwards things are. The problem is how you treat others and the intent, not what words you use. It's also why the N-word is fine in certain communities, but not in others. The context of the word matters more than the word itself.
There are Reform voters who are enthusiastic about mass deportations but will recoil if you say the P-word. That seems bad and inconsistent but it does explain why this story is so damaging to someone so adept (as an adult politician) at maintaining the veil

Yep. This is the end goal. Use the inherent xenophobia and racism card to squeeze migration to the point that it finishes off the already struggling NHS due to their cuts and then the only option is to privatise it and sell it off to their business pals.

I don't envy Wilfried Nancy. Martin O'Neill has turned things around enough that his next three games are a top of the table clash (when we were 8 points behind), a big European night (when we'd more or less written it off) and a cup final (having overcome Rangers in the semi).

Nothing quite sums up both Scottish football and Celtic quite like the club fannying around so much about getting a new manager that the interim guy gets the manager of the month award from the Premiership.

Next year, instead of opt outs for mothers day or fathers day or any other day we get offered from the marketing departments of companies, I'd like an opt out of Black Friday emails. It's Tuesday and I'm still getting them. We don't even celebrate Thanksgiving in this country!
