Simple click, taken near the Colorado/New Mexico border last week. It was the moody skies and light falling on the colorful scrub oaks that caught my eye so I had to take a pic or two.

Spotted while wandering in Colorado last week. I was actually focused on the mountains in the distance when I happened to look down and saw the horseshoe.

It's that time of year when the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta is in full swing, so I thought I'd share some random pics I took at my first Balloon Fiesta back in October 2013.

I love backlit leaves, like these aspens from earlier this week near Molas Pass in Colorado.

If you're in Colorado this time of year, you're going to take photos of aspens.

As the weather turns more fall like with cooler temps and shorter days, I thought I'd share a photo that has that feeling of hot summer days.

Ran into this beauty of a thunderstorm not far from Cimarron, New Mexico in late July, 2024. With clouds like that I had to find a place to pull over for a couple of photos.

Taken while exploring in Guadalupe Mountains National Park in Texas a few years back. Fall colors like this in Texas? You bet!

One last photo from the Milky Way re-edits from last month's visit to Monument Valley. Makes me want to get out at night a little more often.

To follow-up yesterday's post, here's one more Milky Way re-edit from last month's visit to Monument Valley. At this point I'm thinking I need to go through the whole batch and rework them all. That's one thing I love about photography, the learning never stops!

Spent time this morning doing a re-edit of this shot from last month in Monument Valley, trying a different approach to editing than I have in the past. No gonna lie, I kinda like it.

Today is the autumn equinox, the first day of fall, so I thought I'd share some of my personal favorite fall photos that I've taken over the years.
