As the grandson of a fisherman that grew up in a small town and misses his dear grandmother everyday since she passed; who loves the ocean and all it’s creatures and loves John Carpenter’s The Thing and The Fog—there’s no bloody way I wasn’t going to love this story.

There are plenty of smarter & more credible reviews on Goodreads that go into great detail of why this trilogy deserves a 5 star rating and I agree with majority of them so let me just add this—if @stevestred.bsky.social were to start his own cult, I would be the first to join!
