The aurora is visible in Bentonville Arkansas tonight! I've always wanted to see these lights, and the wow factor did not disappoint!

It was a beautiful morning to walk the North Forest at Crystal Bridges today!

I met Bono and The Edge outside the Woody Guthrie Center the day after seeing them perform when they accepted the Woody Guthrie Prize for 2025! They talked about how to resist during these times with humor to counter fear and with light that is brighter than the darkness.

The No Kings protest in Rogers, AR was wonderful! The thunderstorms came close, but we stood our ground as the heavier rain went to the north and south of us. Great energy and strong community as we united our voices in protest to this current regime!

I am 100% American, and I love my country, which is why I am protesting this fascist regime. I stand with Democracy, freedom, and the Rule of Law. I will shout, "No Kings in America!"

Find moments of joy and beauty where you can. So happy I have some late season blooms for the bees!

I'll be in Rogers, AR for No Kings. Where will you be?

This late blooming dahlia has a pollinator friend resting in the petals. So happy with how long the growing season lasted this year! Still harvesting tomatoes and peppers!

I first met Bono in 1992 in Chicago on ZooTV tour. Again in 1997 outside Soldier Field on the PopMart tour. Most recently I saw U2 at the Sphere in Vegas. Now I'm hoping to meet Bono and The Edge in Tulsa next month, where they will be to accept the Woodie Guthrie prize. I LOVE THIS BAND!

I find this abhorrent! A Christian school in Springdale, AR shared this photo of their security team and how they create a safe learning environment. Another person shared this on a different platform. LEARNS refers to an AR law that diverts money from public schools to private ones like this.

I attended the Workers Over Billionaires protest in Fayetteville, AR with Indivisible NWA. We had a great turnout at a busy intersection!

I asked AI to create an image of itself, and this is what I got. Feels a bit dystopian to me.

From our superintendent's newsletter yesterday, it's official that the school district I work for in Arkansas will not post the commandments. Rogers was not part of the injunction, so I am very happy RPS will not post on grounds that it is unconstitutional!

Latest butterfly visits to my garden. So beautiful!

A former GOP media consultant, Matthew Sheffield, was quoted in the Meidas Touch Today in Politics bulletin on 8.8.2025 as he responded to a NYT report on an ad that shows the tactic called "nutpicking" which I simply call intentional lying for media manipulation. This explains why the GOP nutpicks.

Congressman Womack addressed teachers this morning at our district wide Back to School event. So, he can show up to talk about what an important job teaching is, but is a NO SHOW at townhalls where the people have questions. I refused to applaud and all I thought was "Vote him out!"

This bright green caught my eye as I was watering my garden. This cicada is drying its wings after molting.

The Red-shouldered Hawk returned for a visit this morning. This has been going on all summer. Today, s/he stayed longer than usual.

My favorite photos from the summer taken at the lodge at Petit Jean State Park in Arkansas.

Yes, it's the Ozarks. This was on my walk this morning in my neighbor. Connection to Nature is strong here.
