Bonus points for the Marx and Banquo parallels that I only noticed on the reread. I liked that his ghost was in Sam and Sadie's later games.

The reread also made Marx's whole story shine brighter. Playing with the "infinite retries" theme, the hummingbird in "The NPC" made the earlier point of Marx choosing his favorites as it comes to him and loving every lover fully make it as if he has gone thru this before and chooses the loving path

Might come back to this thread from time to time coz its fun and its solidifying in my brain this might be my favorite book of all time.
Read "The NPC" section the first time while processing losing my dad and it was kinda cathartic. The reread flooded all those emotions back.

Rereading it, what hits this time are the small exchanges the characters have. I'm nostalgic for the quiet moments where 2 characters just banter about shit.
