but given the unlikelihood of that transition happening quickly, i’m sympathetic to slow rolling automation in areas like rideshare. but i don’t think the end goal should be keeping jobs that could be done without people just for the sake of the current model of the 40 hour work week

we need to find incentives to shift the workforce to more people sharing less hours of the non automated jobs while still making enough money to live well and having strong safety nets
