It certainly is the norm, Oxford have done a study on it, not all projects are comparable. Some fare much worse than others.

We need to be very clear, there is no room for hatred in Australia.
Claiming Islamaphobia exists because of tensions over the Gaza conflict does not preclude the same being said for Anti-semitism. Both are true, both are troubling and we need courage to step back from the precipice. #auspol

So Ted O'Brien claims that the renewables plan would cost $640B. Chris Bowen says the nuclear plan would cost over $600B.
Meanwhile, Oxford says nuclear projects, including waste storage, that most routinely have cost blow-outs. Much maligned 'trasmission' is also more predictable. #auspol

If Australia wants to improve health outcomes, language is an important starting point. Western society can learn something from traditional healing practices, especially as it relates to mental and spiritual health.

1/ A recent study by Oxford assessed cost overruns of major capital projects. The furore over a new Olympic stadium is justified based on these numbers. However, legacy infrastructure and cultural significance are harder to quantify. Brisbane is growing. The time is now. #auspol
