the tongue-in-cheek attribution of a plugin as a featured artist is of course common practice in Vocaloid music and part of the Miku Miku Mystique, but in practice as a label it's all just a goofy scenario that reveals how algo-bureaucratic so much of the digital release pipeline really is

distro blamed Apple Music for being the primary stickler for this, their first suggestion being to simply don't distribute thru AM which is interesting

its been held up for naming issues. first bc the art says "ft. Miku" but i didn't give Miku proper metadata attribution 😅. then i added Miku as a legit featured artist and it was like no again bc the art is in Japanese and the metadata is in english, then finally approved with Japanese metadata
