Leeds very passive tbh, I think we need to put more punch into passes, stop second guessing our instincts and just be alot more positive in our players - all seems far too cautious and asking for a close game

Not quite fearing for us at Old Trafford yet but I feel like Bilbao needs to be treated like the first game of the season; rough defensively today, but I sense thats lack of meaning to the result than anything else. Mind needs to be tweaked now to think performances mean something now though

We played well, and after the last few games that's all I hoped. PSG fully earned the final appearance, glad we haven't just given it away. Time for a performance at Anfield and then Newcastle

Best I've seen us play since Madrid games; if we play like that in the second half I can accept a defeat, no problem. Can see PSG just have a technical edge and are physically high in endurance

The Place performance and result meant that we were going to start the PSG game under par, we saw what happened there. Now this, I think Arteta will have some questions on why he continues to stick with certain out of form players. Really disappointing end to the season playing out

Just think I would have liked to see where Ode has dropped levels (could be injury, could be more) to put a replacement in. I do think the captain thing comes into Mikel's mind when dropping Ode, hence the push for Rice to take the armband making sense

Completely get what you're saying on Ode. The only retort I'd have is with Nwaneri, yes he's had games which have shown his learning curve needed, but I think so too has MLS. I actually think playing Nwaneri would've been less risky than continuing to play MLS, which Mikel did

Think it shows how little Palace are interested that we're in the lead. Got to step it up defensively at least in that 2nd half, they'll win if they go into any sort of gear

Ye this isn't the time for "we deserve more" at all. We're doing stupid little flicks and tricks in and around their box, ok they haven't done anything at the other end to necessarily "deserve" a lead but would be great if our players remembered they were professional strikers of a ball

I don't know why but it felt significantly better on the ball, and in general endeavour than both Leicester and West Ham. Still probably going to take this at minimum plus some luck to get anything from the game though, Forest looked fairly comfortable. Just need to remain steady defensively

Sterling...I doubt there are any words that could some his performances up accurately enough. It's like the league did a draft of all the players and we had to take him as the last pick. He doesn't even know what offside is anymore. I think being down to 10 men would be better at this point

Try not to overreact; we were outfought and outthought over the two legs, not necessarily by a better side but definitely by a side who "wanted" it more. Our first team players will gain the mentality that every match matters, they're just not there yet. Congratulate Newcastle and move on

Couldn't agree more - Arteta outsmarted as well as our players outfought and outthought. Congrats to Newcastle, if they perform like they have against us over the two legs (although we have also been sh*te) they will beat either of Liverpool and Spurs

He hasn't been as bad as he was in this game this season, easily the performance that should bring his right back appearances to a conclusion

I feel like last season and season before, teams would need their A game to beat or draw against us at the very least. This season, you can be a C+ and do that; that's the main difference I'm seeing
