To end things on a positive note, I liked the character interactions (as always) and seeing Jurie was a treat. I also wanna preface that I do like the story and I can see why ppl say it's good, but the execution doesn't always land and it just makes it hard to take it seriously

Considering the chapter title (Three-Way Battle) I expected her to join in on the showdown but no she just dips out 🤷‍♂️

Here's the pacing issue: the party say that they can't afford to lose track of Crow so what do they do? Go back to the Atelier and then waste a bunch of time on Juna's gap moe 🫠

Criselda not bothering to put on a disguise was kinda funny like girl give us nothing lol

Crow is literally Team Rocket like girl you need to stop underestimating them you keep getting your ass kicked 💀

This chapter was... weird and it made me realize my biggest issue with the story in general: the pacing. Maybe it's cuz I'm watching it as opposed to playing it where you have gameplay segments in-between, but I feel like it's not paced very well 🥲

Hmm the closest Ichiban had was Mitsuo and while I do like him, I was very disappointed that he didn't appear in Y8... like he was supposed to be Ichi's BFF in his Yakuza days. Apparently RGG has a bad habit of writing one-shot characters

Loving it so far! My journey started with a SaGa-like (Alliance Alive), which kindled my interest for the Romancing SaGa 2 remake which in turn made me interested in the rest of the series. I'm currently playing SaGa Scarlet Grace and am really enjoying it.

The comment thread also mentions that repeatable nodes give 12 XP at first and then ~3 XP for subsequent fights, and it doesn't seem like it matters whether or not you stick to only one node. So grinding shouldn't be an issue!

So I did some digging last night about the difficulty settings (or as they're called, enemy strength) in SaGa Scarlet Grace and turns out all it does is decrease or increase the enemy's BR by -1 or +1 for weak/strong.

Similiar to how Milia's design takes from one of Escha's concept designs, the design for "5 year old Escha" does the same by using a slight variation of another beta design! :D

Did you know that the anime adaptation of Escha & Logy gave us a design for Escha's mother, Milia Malier?
Furthermore, her design is heavily based on one of Escha's very own beta/concept art character designs! (Which is so cool imo??)

That's been a point of frustration actually cuz Elex kept releasing events/dream weavers out of order lol. The bad localization also doesn't help 😔

Also sorry if it comes out as unsolicited/unnecessary, but for the story, it's very important to read some hell event and dream weaver stories as they provide more context and even contain important plot points. You can either read the scripts on the LN wiki or look them up somewhere else.

The 2D dress-up is the reason I stuck to LN for so long. I tried SN once but didn't stick around for long cuz it doesn't have the same appeal to me (aside from my phone at the time not handling the game well, how expensive events are and how I dislike Reflections from playing MLQC)

As a long-time player who's been playing since 2017, I agree how time-gated progression is. This game has really taught me to be patient with mobile games lol. If you thought chapter progression was bad wait 'till you get to hell suits which takes 6+ months to finish.
