Weekend snowfall announcement from the National Weather Service in Pontiac/Detroit, including a map of the estimated snowfall totals. Key Points - Widespread accumulating snow late Saturday afternoon thru Sunday morning. - Peak snowfall rates are expected Saturday evening. - Forecast calls for a total snowfall accumulation of 4 to 7 inches. - Further refinement of these amounts expected as the event nears. - Precipitation type will remain all snow through most of the event, but a brief mix or transition to rain will be possible from the Ohio border up through Detroit Sunday morning. Travel Impacts - Slow commute times, Untreated surfaces will become slick and hazardous. Low visibility. - Plan ahead! Check the forecast and give yourself extra time to get to your destination.

The highest gusts will be most likely along the shoreline of the Thumb region and within snow showers that will impact the area this evening. Peak gusts are expected from 1 PM today through 5 AM Thursday.

The 2025 camping season is officially ending at our house. We went out on 4 trips including:

- Myrtle Beach State Park in SC (stayovers in WV both ways)
- Seven Lakes State Park (Holly, MI)
- Rose City, MI
- Algonac State Park (Algonac, MI)
