These incidents have occurred after Ukraine accelerated their campaign of strikes against Russian oil infra. It shows, in my opinion, the psychological impact Ukrainian drones are having on Russian military command. There appears to be significant pressure to find and target Ukrainian drones.

It is unlikely that a Ukrainian drone team would arrive on 26 September and then just hang about in the same spot for 4 days and wait to get hit by a missile. There are also striking similarities between this (Blue) and the strike on a group of deminers (Red) a month ago, also in Chernhiv Oblast.

The Sentinel-1 SAR satellite also detected the arrival of the trucks between 26 September and 29 September. There are no other SAR detections in 2025 and the only detection in 2024 is in late October, also assessed as likely agricultural.

Secondly, sat images from the area shows ongoing agricultural work at a field approximately 1km from the airstrip. The sat imagery also shows what I assess is likely vehicle activity at the airstrip only when the agricultural activity starts suggesting that the two are linked.

Firstly, the footage from the drone at no point shows any evidence of drones being prepared, launched, or transported from or near these trucks. In fact, in at least one of the trucks, what appears to be grain or a similar crop is visible and another appears to be empty.

On Wednesday, the Russian MoD released footage of a combined ballistic missile/drone strike on what they claimed were trucks transporting Ukrainian drones. Ukraine claim they were loading grain. Russia's own footage and satellite imagery disputes their claims of drone launches.🧵

Significant number of fires detected today in Sudzha, Kursk Oblast after Russian and North Korean infantry launched a large-scale offensive aimed to push Ukraine out of Russian territory. I wouldn't be surprised if Putin has demanded the Ukrainians are pushed out prior to May 9.

Three days ago, Zelenskyy offered a mutual ban on the targeting of civilian energy infrastructure. Russia gave their response overnight with a large-scale missile attack on Ukraine's gas facilities. I'd expect to see some Russian oil refineries struck before Monday.

Zelensky offers a mutual ban on missiles, long-range drones, a ceasefire at sea, and prisoner exchanges in order to reach a peace deal with Russia. The ball is now firmly in Russia's court.

This very public meltdown is, of course, fantastic for Russia in the short term. Expect to see this on repeat through their media and also through their supporter's social media channels. This will also cause a lot of concern re: arms supply for Ukraine. Others need to step up.

Well that's the US involvement in any peace negotiations dead. That's the one positive to come out of this, the mask has slipped and they never had any intention of fighting for a fair deal for Ukraine. Let Europe take the lead.

The Ukrainian Air Force have posted their final overnight report of February and the total numbers for the month are huge, even when compared to the spike we saw beginning in September 2024. The Russians are launching a massive number of drones at Ukraine on a daily basis.

Trump has gone from calling Zelensky a dictator to saying that they're going to ask Russia to give up a large part of the occupied coastline (see Berdyansk and Mariupol). It's going to be interesting when Putin's response is the equivalent of laughing in his face.

Another massive Russian drone attack against Ukraine last night, the second time in three days that more than 200 total drones have been reported. Over those 3 days, Russia fired more drones at Ukraine than any individual month between January and July 2024.

In the first 20 days of February, the Ukrainian Air Force have reported 14 days in which the Russians launched 100 or more attack drones at Ukrainian cities. To put that in context, between Jan 1 and Nov 31 2024, there were 15 days. There were none in 2023.

Azerbaijan following the Russian playbook and are claiming that "The independent Armenian state is a fascist state" and "fascism must be destroyed. Either the Armenian leadership will destroy it, or we will. We have no other choice".

Appeasing Aliyev just emboldens him.

Bought myself a drone and then also set myself up an Instagram so I don't spam all the photos here (I'm sure I still will). Give me a follow if you enjoy very average photography.

Fighterbomber is reporting the loss of a Ka-52 and pilots after being shot down by "friendly" fire. I thought Putin insisted that Russian IFF systems made this impossible?
