I just don’t get why they thought this setup would work. No offense whatsoever to Rob Lake, but he’s not a magician with household name recognition. It needed to be Muppets-first, Lake second. What we got was Muppets cameos supporting a solid enough magic show.

While all of this is true, I think we'll start to see movement as soon as the ATC issue becomes untenable. That's one of the main factors that forced a resolution of the previous shutdown. Both Disney and Universal seem to be exhibiting buyer's remorse when it comes to many of their 3D implementations but refuse to accept that ripping the tech out of purpose-built attractions leaves you with an incomplete, lackluster experience. We're all poorer for it.
