I was just using nearly identical step ladder for my tree and was convinced my husband would come home to find me splayed on the floor with my neck broken hello

Oh, I get that, & this all sounds reasonable. I’m just ruing how we didn’t foresee how often teachers would assign in-class journaling and other methods (that are great practices but he wasn’t well-equipped for). He had to leave his IB HS that he loved and enroll elsewhere in part because of this.

I absolutely see the value in this, but I wince knowing years ago teachers & learning specialists made assumptions about how little handwriting students would be doing in the future. My son’s dysgraphia was only lightly addressed b/c we all assumed he’d be primarily keyboarding in upper grades.

One could argue that if these donors provided that money to some other operating expenditure, tuition might be lower. So in that way the big coach salaries could impact tuition. But it’s not direct.

I would say look at things like cybersecurity, compliance, critical incidence management, mental health… Institutions are having to spend a lot more on things that got much lower investment in the past but now are mandatory or nearly so to manage risk.

Can we discuss that the pork sandwich thing is absolutely ridiculous

If you’re in the market for a sandwich, you have an idea in your head about bread ratio and it should not drop to zero for 2” of the perimeter

I mean come on
