Especially if they want to fork away Adobe users, stuff like Gen-Fill are sadly just expected to be features. But you CAN not use the AI features, show them what you do and don't like by metrics. The good thing is, you need to explicitly pay for them to use them, everything else is available as-is.

Not that the other answer relates to what's going on, it's just the first thing i ever saw of them and it immediately rang my bells telling me to not get involved and keep distant tabs on them so i can avoid them, and whatever BS they'll inevitably create. And it seems i was correct.

Incredibly weird behavior to insert yourself into the situation of someone else inserting themselves just to be offended, and siding with them and being offended too.

Mavis was the mod that came in to "break it up" and, with many words, told the people who were arguing that it's fine to use Tabletop Sim, that they're the offending party for trying to push tabletop sim onto the other person, and need to back off or get punished. For asking a genuine question.

Petty shit, really. Ultimately people got heated and someone said "they fired the person immediately, undid the damage and donated generously to some trans charity, what more do you want them to do to say they're sorry about their employee doing whatever it was? Publicly execute the guy?"

People were considering using it, someone (who wasn't even collabing with anyone, they just like to inject themselves as victims, too and IIRC are still friends with Mavis) brought up some long past apparently transphobic thing and how therefore it's not to be used and people using it to be shunned.

Eldenwood, 30+y/o Vtuber thing. They barely participated, they just joined the stream team for the clout and applied to be mod for whatever reason, they've left there by now. In january, there was a bit of a side tangent in a collab organization thread about Tabletop Sim.

Been watchin them since they were mod in EW discord, cause they made a super weird comment and decision, desperately trying to be a victim. That alone made me check them out silently every once in a while and even without the doc, they seems like a very unpleasant person using minority as a shield.

I knew something was up when every day there'd be a new fund goal. PC upgrades, rent, food, whatever it was. I get asking for food/rent/emergency support, but every week and then turning around and no 24 hours later going "remember i also need an expensive new PC if you wallet is bored" seemed weird

Good.

Vshojo being the main exception where people mostly owned their brands, got hired once established and kept most things when they left/it fell apart.

At least that's what i gathered from the couple high profile ones that retired "recently". If they were sick of tubing, they wouldn't immediately come back indie after a month off, with a 90% identical model and go solo maybe with a hired manager at best.

Yesn't. It's become more common to just hire existing vtubers, but they do a lot of "we've prepared a generation of characters and we're taking auditions for people to be them" where they own the entire brand and you're just a puppeteer. And when you leave you leave with nothing.

All they wanted to do is play games with and for people while being entertaining. Everything else is contractual obligation which burns them out until they graduate. But most people see "play video games every day and get paid top salary" without realizing you're being an entertainer under contract.

And you see the same thing in agency tubing. You gotta reveal models, you gotta collab all the time, you gotta make original and cover songs, have concerts, etc. And just like idol BS some people think that's fun, which they're allowed to do. But you see the reality in some agency tubers.

Produces events, streams, songs, as well as stuff like concerts etc., handles creation of merch, anything that deals with earning money. But outside of absorbing the model cost, all of these things are transplanted straight from the idol scene. Which is almost abusive to it's talent.

Corporate vtubing is not a vestige of idol culture, it's repackaged idol BS for a new generation of fans, all the way down, including everything that makes idol BS horrible.
Technically an agency does stuff like foot the bill for models, arranges promos/collabs/sponsors, does most of the PR.
