We had her DNA analyzed. 52% GSD, the rest is labrador, pit bull, boxer, and Australian shepherd. She is the most velcro of all the velcro dogs I’ve had.

Looking at a cookbook my aunt brought over and marveling to remember that recipe directions used to be just a few sentences. Now, if I want to print a recipe from the internet, it takes 3 sheets of printer paper.

I made a turkey breast with herb butter, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans almondine, roasted balsamic root vegetables, and homemade cranberry sauce. Store-bought rolls. There’s pumpkin spice cake and a chocolate cake for dessert. Only 3 of us this year, but we are 3 thankful people.

Fragrance diary: Last night, I wore my sample of YSL Libre to a friendsgiving. It’s one of 2 florals I’ve found I like. Seems to have mass appeal which is good ‘cause it’s a bit strong. It’s a little sweeter/heavier than I’d want in warm weather, but I’d get a travel size for sure. Score of 9.

We’ve changed vets recently because the previous one retired, and I’m loving this place. They ask you to stay in the car and call to say you’ve arrived, then they call when there’s an exam room ready. Kia’s getting her yearly.

I made 12 Calzones a la @goodport.bsky.social tonight! Some are meatball with ricotta, marinara, and mozzarella; some are chicken with ricotta, roasted onions and peppers, sun-dried tomatoes, and pesto; and one is BBQ pork with red onions & baked beans!

Posting a belated review of the Versace Dylan turquoise because I thought at first I liked it, but after wearing it all day recently, I don’t. This is a 5. I like the citrus, aquatic smells I get at first, and at several hours out, I like the woodiness. The middle step, though, is a high-pitched

I already have my answer on today’s perfume test, Guerlain Mon Guerlain. I expected to like this because of the description, but I’m surprised to discover that I don’t. This smells like my grandmother’s dusting powder. I don’t hate it, but it’s not how I want to smell. Washing it off. Score is 4.

are a dime a dozen. I can still smell it hours later, but I don’t think it was ever so strong somebody would consider it obnoxiously present. If I were to change anything, I’d add in something like coffee or nutmeg or something with a little bite to it. I’m giving it a 9. #perfume
