Watching a sibling play a game on the console you shared was like the original form of today’s let’s plays

Yeah exactly, like, it was years and years before I played a zelda game for myself but I think I can still talk about the earlier ones after the hundreds of hours spent watching my brother play lol

Yeah like I won’t argue that there aren’t games where the gameplay is most of the experience but that’s not really the majority. Sometimes I just don’t want to be the one physically holding the controller for a 70 hour rpg or whatever
