I just figured aerosols were more or less an industrial process, thinking of course along the lines of household and industrial aerosol delivery methods. I never really thought there would be deducated and ongoing science along the subject.

Because it just does to the layperson. I don't know why this has garnered so much attention. Someone who holds the title of Aerosol Scientist really isn't someone that you run into every day, or at all.

If the degrees aren't recognised, then why should the student loans used to obtain these degreed be recognised either?

To be honest it doesn't take years, those wait times are based on severity and need. If you NEED immediate surgery, you're going to get it, if it can wait while others in line can't, then you wait a short while.
My mother underwent three immediate back-to-back surgeries, it didn't cost us a dime.
