A true taste of late autumn today. It’s not often we catch either species, young female siskin and an adult male chaffinch.

Cetti’s warbler bred at Landguard for the first time this year, putatively 3 pairs, though it’s unsurprisingly difficult to be sure. Not only are we having the local juvs disperse now, but we’re still getting birds from elsewhere, suggesting last years invasion isn’t over.
